Play and Creation

JAROMIR E. BRABENEC, artist, was born in 1934 in Horni Pocernice near Prague. After his studies at a gymnasium, he graduated from a technical college in 1959. In 1968 Mr. Brabenec decided to emigrate to Sweden. There he completed his artistic education by studying at a school for applied art.

The Czech community has been able to see his work since 1990 because he could travel freely between Sweden and his homeland. He exhibited his art work at the GALERIE DIJON in Prague in the spring of 2011. His creations are very colorful. He likes geometric shapes and abstractions and is familiar with several artistic techniques. He uses oils, acrylics, pastels, Plexiglas, and metal and places his creations either on the wall or hangs them freely in space.
