On Friday, May 5, 2006, the North Texas Czech Heritage Society and Crowell Spirit of Texas, Inc. will hold its second annual Czech-Moravian Festival in Crowell, Texas. The event will feature authentic Czech and Moravian foods and pastries as well as music and dancing.

The event will begin at 3:00 pm in the Crowell Activity Centre with exhibits and displays of historical significance to the Czech and Moravian communities and families of North Texas. At 6:00pm, various groups will offer authentic ethnic foods for purchase. Beginning at 8:00pm, there will be a polka dance. Czech dancers will be in authentic costumes. Admission to the dance and exhibits is free of charge, but donations will be accepted to defray the costs.

The Czech-Moravian Festival is held in conjunction with the Cynthia Ann Parker Days celebration, which celebrates the area�s unique and diverse cultural heritage. Cynthia Ann Parker Days Celebration begins with the Czech-Moravian Festival and ends on May 7, 2006 with Sunday morning open-air church services, followed with an authentic western chuckwagon breakfast.

Crowell, Texas is located in Foard County at the intersection of highway 6 and highway 70.
